G-Lock SpamCombat is a comprehensive Bayesian spam filter that also makes use of DNS blacklists and HTML analysis. With the combination of the Bayesian spam filter, HTML analysis and DNS blacklisting the product has very good precision when filtering spam. G-Lock SpamCombat supports POP accounts only and the interface is clunk and complex looking then needed.
G-Lock SpamCombat can be used to filter spam and multiple POP accounts. Setup is easy as it lets you import data from Outlook, Outlook Express and other email clients. The program also lets you preview your mail and gives you the option to easily reclassify messages.
One pain of G-Lock SpamCombat is that how it is setup you will end up having to check your mail twice. Once to weed out all the spam and then you will have to go to your e-mail client to be able to read the e-mails that are not spam. The other problem is that with the interface more complex looking then need be it can cause the ability to identify if the e-mail is wanted or unwanted.
G-Lock SpamCombat current version is 3.0. The software is freeware, but technical support is not provided for free. IF you want tech support it will cost you $35 a year.
